Karine Chavas

After studying applied art and then working 11 years in photoengraving for textiles, Karine has put on several exhibitions (both painting and photos) at the same time as continuing her work as a graphic designer. Little by little her interest has turned to the world of photography.
Mixing the pictorial with the graphic, she has become what one might call “a photo-graphic designer” as she uses techniques of retouching which permit her to reveal the emotion felt at the moment of shooting. Her images are vibrant and sensitive approaching a painterly effect.
To put it more poetically, rather than a photographer, Karine is a picture maker…
